BIO:
Francisca Núñez (aka Fran Nunez) is a Chilean photographer and visual artist, blending photography, video, and poetic elements to create emotionally driven and conceptually rich work that feels both intimate and timeless.
With roots in the indie music scene and formal studies in photojournalism, her focus has evolved towards artistic storytelling, exploring themes like identity, memory, and human connection.
Her work has been exhibited in Chile, Germany, and Italy, and featured in platforms such as LensCulture, Fisheye Magazine, Photovogue, among others. She also directs and produces music videos and video poetry—showcased at international festivals—expanding her creative language across formats.
STATEMENT:
My work explores the duality between reality and imagination, capturing fleeting emotions through photography and video. I am interested in the intersection of identity, memory, and the dreamlike, using experimental techniques to transform the image into a poetic space. The core of my practice is a deep need to document inner worlds—mine and others'. I’m drawn to emotional narratives and quiet intensity, seeking to create images that resonate slowly but profoundly. Through still and moving images, I explore visual storytelling as a way to connect.
